SuperFan is a community "for Fans, by Fans" celebrating all of the things we love in life. SuperFan is also a game, where Fans compete and show their devotion to their Faves by vying to become the 'SuperFan' of their favorite people, places, entertainment, and everything else you could imagine being a Fan of. But SuperFan is also much more than a game. It's a social community where Fans come together to discuss and share their Faves, and often find new ones along the way! All of the content at SuperFan is user-generated. Blogs, Quizzes, Battles, Pics, Videos - you name it. SuperFan truly is the place place on the web built "for Fans, by Fans"!

Fans

Every member of SuperFan is a Fan. That means YOU! Fans show appreciation for the things they love by declaring their degree of fandom. By letting everyone know about the things you like (and don't like, even), you make connections with other Fans and earn Points along the way!

Faves

At the core of SuperFan are Faves. Faves are all the things in life we are Fans of. SuperFan has over 50,000 things for you to become a fan of, and counting! If you don't see something you are a fan of on the site, suggest it to us and we'll add it to our ever-growing database (pending approval). As an added bonus, we'll anoint you first SuperFan of that Fave, for free, just for suggesting it!

SuperFan - The Game

While anyone can become a Fan, there can only be one SuperFan of a Fave at any given time. Becoming the SuperFan of a Fave requires you to spend Credits which you earn by doing various things around the site that earn you Points and increase your Level.

So what's so super about being a SuperFan? Well, besides bragging rights, being the SuperFan grants you exclusive customization privileges over a Fave's profile and opportunities to earn bonus Credits that can be spent on grabbing the SuperFan crown of other Faves, among other cool things. Also, it's a lot of fun!

Points, Levels, and Credits

There are many ways to earn Points at SuperFan. Rating content (such as pictures and videos), creating content that is rated by other users such as blogs and quizzes, finding "mystery items" throughout the site, visiting your friend's profiles, participating in Quizzes, Battles, and Super5's and of course asking your friends to Join SuperFan (that's a BIG one). Earning points helps you to increase your Level. Levels not only show everyone around the community how active you are, but also earn you buckets of Credits every time you level-up, Credits to be spent on becoming the SuperFan of your Faves, among other fun stuff!

Hint ... Every Fan has a "Fanatic Energy Level" which displays how much energy they have on the site. The Energy Level can be refilled with an energy boost to keep earning Points. However, there is no limit to the incentives you can earn from inviting friends to join SuperFan. Inviting your friends to the SuperFan party is the best way to earn Points and Credits at SuperFan! You get 500 Points AND Credits for each invited friend that joins! So take full advantage and let 'em know!

Fanatic Energy

Every Fan has a "Fanatic Energy" gauge which displays how much energy they have on the site. You can only earn Points while you have Energy in your tank. If you tucker out and run out of Fanatic Energy, don't fret. Your Energy tank can be refilled with an energy boost so that you can keep on earning Points.

Besides the game of SuperFan itself, there's a ton of fun stuff to do on SuperFan. Battles, Quizzes, Blogs, Twitter feeds, instant Facebook status updates, and more! Where do I start?: Start by becoming a Fan of your favorite stuff. You can search for it, or browse through over 50,000 Faves using the http://superfan.com/explore/faves.
How do I earn Points?: Fans can earn Points in several ways on SuperFan by actively contributing to the site. Fans are rewarded for contributing great content as well as rating content. When another user rates your pictures, videos, quizzes or blogs, you earn up to 100 Points per item. And you earn Points for rating the content contributed by other fans. You earn Points by completing Battles, Quizzes and Super5 and earn more Points when users complete the Battles, Quizzes and Super5 that you created. You can earn Points by finding "mystery items" by browsing the site. You earn Points just for logging in everyday. You can even earn Points by visiting a Friend's profile on SuperFan or when they visit your profile. And you can really crank it up by inviting new friends - earning 500 Points and 500 Credits for every new friend who joins!.
How do I earn Credits?: As you earn Points, you can move up to the next Level and earn a bucket of Credits (and you get some FanCash too). Credits can be used to become a Fan or the SuperFan, post Shout-Outs, purchase Trading Cards, etc. The faster you level-up, the more Credits you'll earn... So start cranking earning those Points!!
What's up with Fanatic Energy?: This is a new feature that has replaced the 5,000 Point Daily Earning Limit. We now have a "Fanatic Energy Level" which is like an energy tank. As you earn points, you spend Fanatic Energy. The more points you earn, the more Fanatic Energy you use. It actually takes quite a while to run out of all your energy. If this happens, take a break and wait for it to refill. If you absolutely must keep playing, you can refill all your energy in a a few seconds http://superfan.com/superfan/fancash/store.
What's FanCash for?: FanCash is for purchasing specialty features such as a bucket of Credits, a recharge of Fanatic Energy, a pack of Trading Cards or locking your status as a SuperFan? for a given amount of time. You can get FanCash http://superfan.com/superfan/fancash/boomerang/offers by completing an offer or purchasing directly with your mobile phone or credit card.
Why would I want to become a SuperFan?: Every fave has fans, but it can only have one SuperFan at a time. It costs credits to become the SuperFan of a Fave. A Fave's credit value is determined by how many fans that fave has at any given time, among other things.

When someone else comes along to take your spot as the SuperFan of something, you earn back the current value of that Fave. So if that value has gone up because the Fave got more fans while you were its SuperFan, you walk away with a tidy little profit. Kind of like playing the stock market. Except even when you lose, you win.

Besides earning credits, becoming the SuperFan of a fave also puts your pic and quote on that Fave's profile front and center, for the world to see.
I forgot my password. Now what?: Click here to reset your password.
Can I change my username and profile URL?: You can change it here, but once you change it, your old profile URL will no longer work. Make sure you tell all your friends that you have a new profile URL on SuperFan.
How do I sort which Faves appear on my profile?: On either your profile or your Faves page on SuperFan.com you can click the button that says "Edit Faves." From here you can simply drag and drop to create your top ten Faves. Those top ten will appear on your profile.
How can I control which emails I receive?: Click here and uncheck any type of email you don't want to receive.
Can I block particular users from sending me messages?: You sure can. Every Fan profile has a block link under the user's photo module. Click that and they won't be able to bother you anymore. If someone is harassing you, let us know and we'll have a little talkin' with 'em.
How do I sign out of my profile?: Hover over "My Profile" in the site header then click "sign out" at the bottom of the menu.
How do I delete my account?: Hover over "My Profile" in the site header then click "My Settings." Then click the privacy settings tab. At the bottom of this page is a gray link that reads, "delete account: I want to delete my account and profile FOREVER!" Sorry to see you go so soon. This cannot be undone, so make sure it's really what you want to do before clicking this.
I can't find my favorite band, movie, food, etc. How do I add a missing Fave profile to the site?: If we don't have your favorite thing in our database yet, click on "Would you like us to add it?" from your failed search result and fill out the required form. Our customer service staff will review your submission and if it's approved, you'll receive a notification. If it's approved, you get to be the first SuperFan of that Fave!
How do I upload a photo?: You can either paste the photo URL from a website or browse your computer for the photo. Easy-speezy. You earn Points when other users rate your uploaded photos. Make sure that you only upload photos that you've taken or have permission to use.
How do I upload a video?: There are a couple ways to add videos to your Faves profile. The easiest way is to find a video on YouTube and paste the URL into the 'add video' form (you can find add video buttons all over the site) and presto... It's added. Easy, right? You earn Points when other users rate your uploaded videos.
What's up with Blogs?: In your Fan Profile on SuperFan.com, there is a link to "My Blog". Click that link to start blogging. All of your personal posts will appear there. Your posts will also be entered into the SuperFan.com Blog stream. If you associate a blog with a band, your blog will appear on the Faves Profile Page. Bloggers earn Points when their posts get rated up by other Fans.
What are Shout-Outs?: A Shout-Out is a site-wide notification that you can use to make an announcement, find new friends or promote something (yourself, your blog, quiz, etc). It's a great way to reach out to the entire SuperFan community and to promote your stuff. You use Credits to post Shout-Outs and you control how long they are visible on the site.
What's up with Quizzes?: Creating a trivia quiz is a great way to show off your expertise and challenge other Fans on SuperFan. To create a quiz, click on the "Quizzes" tab on the top of the page. You get Points for every Fan that completes your quiz. So come up with great quizzes that Fans will want to take and share with others. The more takers, the more Points for you. Plus, it is a cool way to get noticed as a real expert.

Hint: Make your quizzes fun by using pics and videos. Make sure your questions are researched and accurate. Promote your quizzes on SuperFan and other social networks. Most of all, have fun with it!
What are Battles?: Battles are a fun game where two Faves go head-to-head and Fans vote on which Fave they like best. Fans have already created over 300,000 custom Battles! So create your own Battle or have fun voting on Battles created by other fans. Game on!
Fan Compatibility Score?: You can compare your tastes with other Fans in the SuperFan community. It's simple to do - just go to another Fans Profile and click the "Compare Faves" icon under their picture to see your Fan Compatibility Score. The higher the score, the more compatible your tastes are. It's a great way to find new people on the site as well as get recommendations for new stuff by searching through their Fave's.
SuperFan Value: The price of a Fave is determined by the amount of recent activity including users becoming a Fan and the SuperFan of the Fave.
